The Grain that spoke !

What a lovely morning, bright sunrays kissing cheeks and a hand that’s protecting the eyes from the kiss of the ray! managing to open your small little eyes still with a smile of the previous nights wonderful dream .Smell of the morning’s freshness , a hope to have a perfect beautiful day !That’s how most of us start our day in our own unique ways .But getting a little drifted from our own perfect n beautiful world exist another world where the mornings are not always with the kiss of rays rather with a hope to get a grain .The grain which is destined to reach each of us , the grain that survived the winds, the rain , the rodents and which had our name inscribed on its fate, to help us survive . But it doesn’t come so easily we all have to work our ways to earn it .Or there is someone for each one us whose sweating it out to earn it for us .Although I forgot to mention about the Air conditioners, which avoids the sweating and adding on the global warming disaster and making us mark our footprint very clearly. But that’s not what I want to talk over here, we have our direct media making big news on the event and trying to get each of us responsible.

I never ever thought a grain can speak ,until I saw it happening with myself and as I follow with my story am sure you will also recollect the moments when you heard your grain speaking ,shouting don’t throw me away packed in the plastic bag .I can’t breathe , I am sulking .

It was on my way back from Mumbai to Seurat after along tiring day at the visa office and dying out of the hunger because of course you are not allowed to take eatables inside the visa office and the long queue’s looks like all Indians want to make it to America and making it another India. And pushing you point inch closer to death because you are definitely starving and all I know is if I don’t get food to eat I might die .And that thought makes you buy more than what you really want ,crossing your appetite . My stomach has always lied to me, never has been faithful and I have always land up being a sinner! Because I was preached that if you waste food you commit a sin! And it takes you to hell away from the gods .But ironically that is correct If I eat I am living and in a way I am avoiding one possibility to death which is hunger and hence away from the gods physically.

The journey began with a bowl of fried rice, a packet of Lays chips which I bought out of sympathy, because there were no customers on his little shop and his immediate competitor at the platform 3 was making huge money drawing more customers and his little eyes were trying to see why is that I don’t have that buzz around my little shop, I sell the same things as he does. And that’s when I decided to give him a ray of hope that he can also draw customers .I picked the chips which coasted me a 10 rs ,actually costed me much more ,It costed me luck .That 10 bucks had a signature of a dear one to me with a smiley saying keep me always ! It was the smile on that old man’s face when I said uncle one red color lays and he looked at me thinking why dint I go to the bigger shop next to his where everyone is rushing and why did I chose to pick from him , I am sure he wondered , But then that 10rs had to go to him , and my hungry stomach needed something immediate to munch on .Soon I realized , ah That’s the only 10 bucks I have and the rest is a 1000 for which he nodded saying No change . I did manage to search a few coins, but then it only summed to rs 7. I jus gave him those 10 rs I thought I all always keep!! But I helped myself live and lower down my hunger at the cost of it.

I rushed to my seat which was a few bogies away from the shop I bought my little angel like chips that helped me survive .And soon I started my journey ! Believe me I was still hungry so I thought I will now help myself with a bowl of rice .And while I was eating it half way through I heard a voice saying I am so done . And now am totally away from being dead of hunger .I packed the reaming fellow grains thinking of earthling them and hence killing them , forgetting that they helped me survive .A voice came out of a long White Rice , Please don’t throw me away ,somebody earned this for you . I know you are done with me for now ,but am not done with my existence .I am here to give life and smile to someone .I could not make it to you, but pals help me reach out to someone who didn’t earn me, But really needs me .As I have survived a lot of pains to be in your hands , there were winds ,rains ,bad transportation facility ,rodents , manhandling ,People jus throwing me away as am really small ,tiny .And there are plenty of me on this earth . We all look the same, but we all have to reach to someone, to make our living worth.
I want to be like my fellow mates who reached inside you and made you smile. I also want to reach someone who really needs me and make them smile.

Please let me fulfill my mere goal of subsistence. I need to reach out to someone, to make someone live .To make them smile .Just don’t throw me away!! Please don’t.

I know you own me; you earned me you have the rights to do anything with me. Having giving you those privileges over me, I request you to hand me over to someone who might have not earned me like the way you did .But still hope to find me so that they could live .I cannot speak, I cannot write you the name who deserves me, or to whom was I destined to, but please help me find that person .So that I don die, rather I help them live.

And that’s when I put my hand back inside the train, which was half outside trying to find a place to throw them all .I looked around to see if my friend the Mr. Grain found its destiny .And in less than half a min, I heard a small girl shout, we are all in needs, I am in need of food and you are in need of Luck! And that’s when it came to my mind oh yes I lost the 10 bucks thinking it was my good luck charm ,And I found Mr. grains destiny The little Girl with a smile when she saw my smart Mr Grain.

In that way I didn’t lose anything rather I gained and also the Grain gained ,And also the fellow person who gained the grain .And I learnt we are all in needs , they just differ and change each day .
It’s good to feed someone, when you know you have it in excess. There are a millions of people who die out of hunger, we are not debating what they can do to avoid it, but what can we do to help them avoid it.

And so, never throw away a grain, as it cannot speak, but it has a meaning for its existence to reach out to somebody who needs it. And when it does it fulfils its worth .Help them fulfilling it before you throw them away.
Think each time before you buy a grain that you really need it, and if yes, think a million times before you throw it away, does somebody need it! And I bet there’s always a person who’s in need of it as every grain has a name inscribed, we need to help them find.
